I had Mr. Yushi Miyano test the product.
Mr. Miyano’s current setup is as follows.
Mouthpiece…Selmer Larry Teal Model
Reeds…Vandoren traditional 2
Alto … Selmer Mark 6
The opening of mouthpiece is about D, with a long shank, rounded small chamber, and no sidewall gouging. The baffle was a low baffle shape similar to MC Gregory.
The prototype seemed more comfortable with Type2.
As for Mr. Miyano, who also plays the clarinet, he prefers a steeper beak angle.
The mouthpiece he is currently using was given to him by a friend who passed away.
It was a good time that unexpectedly touched my heart.

宮野裕司さんに試奏してもらいました。
宮野さんの現在のセッティングは以下のとおり。
・マウスピース…Selmerラリーティールモデル
・リード…青箱2番
・Alto…Mark 6
マウスピースはSelmerでのDくらいのOpening。シャンクは長く、ラウンド型のスモールチェンバーでサイドウォールはえぐれていない。バッフルはMC Gregoryに似たローバッフルの形状でした。
試作品はType2の方がしっくりきた様子。
クラもやる宮野さんとしては、ビークの角度がもっと急なほうが好みとのこと。
現在使用中のマウスピースは、亡くなられた友人から譲り受けたものらしく、これを大切にする想いがひしひしと伝わってきたので、楽器のセッティングというのは人それぞれなのだなぁと納得。
思いがけず心にじんわりとくる良い時間でした。
